I am a licensed mental health counselor in WA state as well as a health coach, registered yoga teacher, and reiki practitioner. I understand what it's like to be in a difficult place and how hard it can be figuring out how to have your best human experience.
As a practitioner of many healing practices, I take the whole person into consideration. I have special interest in treating PTSD, ADHD, whole body health, and self-improvement. I have worked as a traditional therapist but also as a behavioral health consultant in a primary medical care setting. So, I have an understanding of both the mental health side and the physical health side of things. I hold space for people to share their stories and I'm always honored when I get to be a part of someone's healing journey.
I deeply believe in the mind-body connection, so I use my psychology background paired with many alternative healing modalities such as healthy diet, exercise, natural herbs and supplements, crystals, nature, energy work, and yoga to help people reconnect with their authentic self and heal. I use therapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitization and reprogramming (EMDR), mindful awareness body-oriented therapy (MABT), solution focused therapy (SFT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
Healing cannot happen from just addressing one domain. Healing happens when the physical, emotional, mental, emotional, energetic, and spiritual domains are all addressed. When all of these domains are taken into consideration, that is when we see true change. I approach all people with this in mind and tailor their healing plan to what they need as an individual.
I offer individual psychotherapy sessions and health coaching sessions. Sometimes services can overlap, but I like to make the distinction because sometimes individuals are looking for just one service and not the other.
